The Cairn Short Shawl is a chunky rib shawl sweater in luxuriously thick 4ply lambswool. Deceivingly warm, the Cairn has the warmth and weight of a sweater twice it's thickness. In a unique shawl shape, the Cairn, although a casual style, is an eye catching piece and will be sure to become your go to in the winter time. Made in Hawick, Scotland, by William Lockie Ltd who have been in the business since 1874 and still use many of the same techniques, the Cairn Short Shawl will have passed through approximately 30 processes before it has even reached our shelves at A.Hume. Own an authentic piece of luxury knitwear, designed to be owned and loved for as long as possible.

Styling your William Lockie Cairn Short Shawl
The Cairn Short Shawl is a truly versatile piece of knitwear. Wear over a checked shirt or simply a t-shirt, the Cairn is striking enough to be the focal outfit piece. Smarten it up for a winters day outfit with chino trousers and a pair of R M Williams boots.
Fit Guidance
We recommend you order your actual chest size if you like a snug fit, or up to two sizes bigger if you like a looser fit. If you measure a sweater that fits you well from under the armpit to under the armpit and multiply the size by 2 then this is the size to order i.e. if a sweater measures 22" x 2 = 44" then this is the size to order. Please refer to our Size Guide for detailed measurements.
Product Care
Machine wash at 30°C using a gentle wool wash with good quality neutral soap. Do not tumble dry. Leave to dry flat, away from direct heat and press with a cool iron. Alternatively hand wash in lukewarm water.
