Humes Outfitters Dapper Chap

We are delighted to be sponsoring The Dapper Chap category again in 2024. Last year it was particularly difficult with so many people smartly dressed, it was clear a lot of thought and effort had went into their outfits. Things we are looking out for when choosing our Dapper Chap:
  • Attention to detail - the little things mean a lot to us at Humes.
  • Accessorize - think pocket squares, cufflinks, hats, ties, bow-ties, pocket watches etc.
  • Colour Coordination - we love it when someone spots colours in their suits and complements them.
  • Good shoes.
  • Quality fabric choices.
  • Knowing when to stop - all of the above are fantastic but you can take it too far, be careful not to overstep.

Six of our ten finalists, with our winner Brian Cook (bottom middle). Brian impressed us with his coordination of two Tweeds, you know what we're like at Humes, Tweed is woven into our DNA.

So if you think you have what it takes to be The 2024 Dapper Chap or you are simply looking for a great day out then get your tickets for Ladies Day at Kelso Races on Sunday 26th of May.
