Who are Holland Cooper?

Established in 2008, Holland Cooper has emerged as the quintessential British lifestyle brand that embodies a timeless style, honouring classic investment pieces above fleeting, unsustainable fashion trends. Renowned for its opulent and refined elegance, as well as its unwavering commitment to British heritage, Holland Cooper is a highly coveted luxury brand and one that has created a huge buzz at Humes Outfitters since we announced we were launching it. But who are Holland Cooper? The brains, beauty and business woman behind this big name brand is Jade Holland Cooper. From the age of 21, Jade Holland Cooper began carving out her own fashion brand modestly with only one seamstress and a calendar or agricultural shows and country fairs. What began as one rail of tweed skirts at Badminton Horse Trials in 2008 grew exponentially as Holland Cooper became the go-to for the quint-essential country glamour look. At the heart of what they do, British made quality is what sets Holland Cooper apart from the crowd. The brand champion's British manufacturing from the fabrics they choose to their tailoring, and it is because of this quality assurance that they have every right to exude the luxury they do.

What is Holland Cooper style?

HC Lifestyle Holland Cooper: not a trend, but a way of life

The Holland Cooper brand is all about blending a distinctly British style with modern design, in particular the art of the tailored fit. Jade Holland Cooper believes there is a power in the art of dressing, and a beautifully cut jacket, blazer or coat is able to truly transform the way a women feels while wearing it. Holland Cooper clothing is empowering women through providing strong, structured pieces that exude sophistication. Around this concept, the brand has expanded into country lifestyle clothing to create a HC 'way of life', a chic way to dress through every caveat of a country woman's life.

“I wanted to harness a style that lasts forever, the investment piece, this is not a trend it’s a way of life”. - Jade Holland Cooper

Accentuation is the hallmark of Holland Cooper's style. The silhouette is accentuated by beautiful cuts, tucks, and pleats, and the fabric is embellished with gold buttons and branding. Their use of vivid colours in their tartans, and tweeds literally stand out in the crowd. The long trench coat has become a symbol of Holland Cooper style, instantly recognizable at any country event or race meet among a sea of earthy-toned sporting jackets and flat caps. The gold hardware used is uniform across almost all pieces in the Holland Cooper collection. This culminates in a coherent outfit that draws the eye to the wearer wherever she goes.

From their heritage tweed to their bold houndstooth trench coats with trademark gold buttons, Holland Cooper is a familiar sight at Cheltenham festival year upon year with many recognisable faces choosing the brand for it's pristinely cut co-ords and race ready refinement. In fact, the brand was the official luxury fashion partner of Cheltenham 2023. But Holland Coopers reach goes further, much further. Holland Cooper is a favourite amongst royal circles particularly with the Princess of Wales. Kate Middleton is often spotted attending Royal appointments in Holland Cooper pieces including coats, sweaters and shirts. Not only does their appearance on one of the most recognisable figures in the world cause their pieces to sell out, but also serves to cement their status as one of the UK's most prestigious fashion brands. Holland Cooper's brand is also heavily equestrian inspired, which makes sense when Jade Holland Cooper has said she designs for herself as her own customer and horses are such a big part of her life and who she is. With the likes of the Jodhpur Jean, Country Fleece Gilet and Regal Horse Silk Scarf in our Humes Outfitters collection, it's easy to see why HC appeals to the equestrian community. Holland Cooper seamlessly blends yard and street style, creating a distinct fashion for style-savvy horse riders. Think 'off duty dressage'.

Is Holland Cooper a good brand?

Although Holland Cooper's clothes may possess a trendy and fun appeal, the British industry's legacy is interwoven throughout everything they do. Their complete tweed collection is produced in the UK, utilizing both Cheviot tweed sourced from sheep that graze on the Cheviot Hills of the Scottish Borders, as well as Shetland tweed. Holland Cooper's ethos is all about curating a collection of timeless fashion essentials: wardrobe staples with enduring styles and cuts that will remain relevant regardless of fleeting fashion trends. Several of their most sought-after clothing items, such as their trench coats and classic blazers, are reproductions of original styles. Although there may be seasonal changes in trims or fabrics, HC customers can rest reassured that they are always purchasing a classic piece. It is this integrity which set them apart from many other current womenswear brands, many of whom participate in the 'wear once' culture of fast fashion. Holland Cooper is about creating striking and polished pieces, that you can wear time and time again and incorporate them into an endless supply of outfits and looks. We are excited and proud to become an official stockist of such a prestigious brand, it's invigorating to see such a buzz surrounding a brand like we have witnessed with Holland Cooper. It reminds us why we do what we do, to see our customer enjoy the countryside in style and confidence.
