Schöffel - Fit for Purpose

The better part of three decades have passed since a cohort of shooting enthusiasts and gentlemen’s outfitters took up with German technical and ski wear manufacturers Schöffel, and in doing so revolutionised the shooting jacket. At a stroke the GORE-TEX® lined Schöffel Ptarmigan shooting jacket transformed the enjoyment of those with a fondness for game. Lightweight, waterproof, windproof and machine washable. Instantly, Schöffel was more popular than an invite to a prized grouse shoot. And the Ptarmigan, the must-have shooting jacket of choice. A worthy, and comparatively small investment with high dividends - comfort, fit and quality. No more prowling the moors soaked to the skin, looking, feeling and smelling like a wet gun dog weighted down by a sack of dead pheasants.

Schöffel Shooting Jackets

The Schöffel brand commands great loyalty and those who shoot will no doubt be familiar with those who boast of the grand age of their loyal Ptarmigan – Schöffel regularly take fifteen, sixteen, even seventeen-year-old jackets in for repair and TLC. Committed country sports enthusiasts will often have different Schöffel shooting jackets for different conditions. All are designed with the practical needs of the Gun in mind, bellow pockets with drainage holes, for cartridges, storm cuffs, detachable hoods, generous, protective collars, fleece lined hand-warming pockets and convenient pockets for storing valuables within reach.
